Before getting a sugar wax, it’s a good idea to prepare carefully to ensure the best results and a pleasant experience. Here are the most important things to keep in mind:
The hairs should be at least 3–5 mm long so that the sugar sticks properly.
Exfoliate your skin 1–2 days before the sugar waxing, but not on the same day, to avoid irritating your skin.
Avoid applying heavy moisturizer on the day of your sugar treatment, as oily skin can prevent the sugar from adhering properly.
Wash your skin before the treatment, but avoid using strong soaps or deodorant on the area to be sugared.
Avoid exposing your skin to the sun or a tanning bed for 24 hours before your sugar waxing appointment, as sensitive skin may react more strongly.
Whenever possible, wear loose, comfortable clothing after waxing to reduce skin irritation.
